Mesquite Bench with Back
6' wide iron & mesquite bench. This bench is completely traditional joinery--no welding.  Texas mesquite wood. Seat is 18" deep and almost 2" thick. Finished for outdoor use.

Mesquite & Twisted Iron Bench (2 different versions above & below)

This hand-forged bench can be used as a coffee table or built to be a sofa or hall table.  The base can be made from round steel stock with a more organic look.  Shown below is another version.  All of our mesquite benches are built to order so you have a unique piece of furniture designed to meet your space and decorating requirements.

Iron work terms:

Collared items: two pieces of metal held in place with a metal wrap or strap. The collar is decorative in nature but serves the purpose of holding two pieces in place.

Flat spots in scroll work are predominant in machine bent scroll work. It will always have a flat spot on the end where they clamp it before they bend it cold. Hand forged work is bent hot over a form or is hand hammered over an anvil and rolled up hot with a hammer, requiring much more skill but producing a more beautiful product
